T he M.Okay. Stalin-led Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) govt is striving to offer the state’s temples a makeover and, within the discount, give itself one too. A large renovation plan is afoot for Hindu shrines, together with the retrieval of encroached land. The state’s Hindu Non secular and Charitable Endowments (HR&CE) division, which oversees temple management in Tamil Nadu, has been issuing eviction notices thick and speedy. Budgetary allocations for conservation and growing pilgrim facilities have long gone up manifold previously two years.
