Pradeep Gupta, Kawardha. The drug dealers have been arrested by the City Kotwali Police. 50 pieces of drugs and injections have been recovered from the accused. A case has been registered against both the accused Dayasudhin and Rajesh Raghuvanshi under NDPS and sent to jail on judicial remand.

According to the information received, both these accused used to secretly bring drugs from Raipur and Bilaspur at the rate of Rs 25 and sell them for Rs 500 per piece. The police were continuously receiving complaints of youth in the city falling prey to drugs. The police were continuously searching for drug dealers.

Additional SP Pushpendra Singh Baghel said, on the information of informer, police raided today and arrested two youths who were supplying drugs. Both the accused are residents of Kawardha. City Kotwali Police has registered a case against both of them under NDPS and sent them to jail on judicial remand.

Raipur. The High Court’s decision has come in the murder case of NCP leader Ramavatar Jaggi, which changed the condition and direction of state politics. The High Court has rejected the appeal of the accused in the Jaggi murder case and has upheld the life imprisonment of 28 accused.

High Court Chief Justice Ramesh Sinha and Justice Arvind Verma Division Bench have upheld the life imprisonment sentence. Those sentenced to life imprisonment include two then CSPs and one then police station in-charge, apart from Yahya Dhebar and shooter Chiman Singh.

On June 4, 2003, the NCP leader was shot dead. 31 accused were made in this case, out of which two Baltu Pathak and Surendra Singh became government witnesses. And except one Amit Jogi, the remaining 28 people were punished, after which the accused filed an appeal in the High Court challenging the decision of the lower court.

After the High Court rejected the appeal of the convicts, Ramvatar Jaggi’s son Satish Jaggi said that he had faith in the judiciary. All the accused were sentenced. Our family kept saying from the beginning that it was a political conspiracy.

Satyapal Rajput, Raipur. There has been an outbreak of diarrhea in Sankalp Society of Blagwani area for the last one month. People’s lives are in danger, but the Municipal Corporation is making every effort to save the officers responsible for this, while diarrhea is spreading due to the negligence of the officers. In the notice issued by the Commissioner of the Municipal Corporation, clarification has been sought within three days. There is neither mention of diarrhea nor the affected area in this notice. The surprising thing is that the Municipal Corporation Commissioner is not aware of the notice which he has signed and issued. From this it can be understood how serious he is regarding this matter.

No reply to notice received even after three days

According to the issued notice, this notice has been issued on 28th 3rd 2024. The reply was to be given within three days, but the Commissioner says that the reply has not come yet. They are also saying that the reply has to be given within seven days. It is clear from this that the media is being misled to save those responsible.

Ramkumar Yadav, Surguja. In village Raghunathpur adjacent to Ambikapur, two boys of a particular community abducted two minor girls. After this there was an uproar in the area. As soon as the complaint regarding this matter was received, the police took the matter seriously and arrested both the boys from Ranchi. Girls were also recovered there. Here, regarding this matter, Hindu organizations surrounded Raghunath Chowki located on National Highway 43 and created a ruckus by closing the nearby shops. The police officers handled the matter on the spot and used force to remove all the agitating people from there.

In fact, two youths of a particular religion, residents of Raghunathpur, located just 10 kilometers away from Ambikapur, lured minor girls and ran away. When the family came to know about this incident late in the night, they complained about it at Raghunathpur outpost. When the family members of the minor girls complained about this at Raghunath police station, the police took immediate action and searched the youth and minor girls throughout the night and caught them from Ranchi.

The police have arrested the accused youth under different sections, while the two minor girls have been handed over to their families. After this, today Hindu organizations surrounded Raghunathpur outpost and created a ruckus in this matter. On one hand, the protesting people blocked National Highway 43 and also closed nearby shops. During this time, senior police officers and Sector Magistrate chased away the protesters using hair to pacify them. Now there is peace in the area. The police have produced both the accused youths in the court and sent them to jail.

Sudhir Sahu, Raipur. Under the new scheme, in case of an accident (hint and run) involving unknown vehicles in Chhattisgarh, a compensation of Rs 2 lakh is given to the dependents of the deceased. The injured person gets a compensation of Rs 50 thousand. For this, to make people aware and to explain the complete process of the scheme, Senior Superintendent of Police Raipur Santosh Singh has written a letter to all the police station in-charges and given instructions.

The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has notified a new scheme for compensation to victims of hit-and-run vehicle accidents on 25 February 2022. Under this scheme, a provision was made to increase the amount of compensation, i.e. in case of serious injury, the compensation amount was increased from Rs 10,000 to Rs 50,000 and in case of death, the compensation amount was increased from Rs 50,000 to Rs 2 lakh.

What to do in case of a road accident?

First of all inform the police about the incident and then contact the insurance company. After this the police inspect the incident and send their report to the Motor Accident Tribunal within 30 days. The insurance company decides the compensation amount on the basis of the report. If in any situation the person is not satisfied with the compensation, he can appeal to the tribunal.

Manoj Yadav, Korba. The team of Dial 112 reached the information about child marriage taking place in village Gidhamudi of Moraga outpost under Bago police station area on Tuesday evening at 4 pm. Where a 15-year-old minor girl was getting married to a 19-year-old youth from the same village. Which was stopped immediately. Also, the team of Dial 112 gave information about the entire matter to Child Line and Women and Child Development Department. The team, with the help of village sarpanch, district and senior dignitaries, explained to the family members of both the parties involved in the marriage that both the boy and the girl are not of legal age for marriage. The age of a girl for marriage is fixed at 18 years and the age of a man is fixed at 21 years. Unless both are adults, marriage comes under the category of crime. Marriage should be done after both of them become children.

Understanding the situation, the family members stopped the marriage and the wedding marquee was also removed. Certainly, child marriage is a vivid example of the evil spread to the roots of society, gender inequality and discrimination. It is the result of the interaction and reaction of economic and social forces. Communities where the practice of child marriage is prevalent. There, marrying girls at a young age is part of the social practice and outlook of those communities and reflects the low status of human rights of girls. Everyone should avoid such situations and also save others.

The law prohibiting child marriage was first passed in 1929. Later amendments were made in it in 1949, 1978 and 2006. At present the minimum age of marriage has been fixed at 18 years for girls and 21 years for boys.

Raipur. The second installment of Mahtari Vandan Yojana will be released today in the accounts of 70 lakh women across the state. The officials of the Women and Child Development Department have made almost complete preparations for this. Due to which the amount has not been sent to the women’s account.

PM Narendra Modi had launched Mahtari Vandan Yojana in the state on March 10. Under Mahtari Vandan Yojana, one thousand rupees per month will be transferred to the women of the state through DBT.

Mahtari Vandan money will come to women’s accounts tomorrow: CM

CM Sai said that Congress did corruption in coal, liquor, sand and land. Villagers came to meet the collector

Hundreds of villagers of Sakreli village reached the collector’s office on Monday with their demands and informed the collector about their problems. At present, on the request of the Collector and in view of the Lok Sabha elections, the Railways has postponed the decision to close the gate, but the decision can be changed again after the elections, due to which the villagers still do not seem satisfied.
