Raipur. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has presented a challan against the accused Girish Talreja and Suraj Chokhani, arrested in the famous Mahadev online betting app case of Chhattisgarh. ED has presented a challan of about 1500 to 2000 pages in the PMLA Special Court. Along with this, ED has presented accused Suraj Chokhani and Girish Talreja in the court. Suraj and Girish are lodged in Raipur Central Jail for the last 2 months.

Raipur. IPS GP Singh, who was compulsorily retired by the Central Government, has got a big relief from CAT. CAT has ordered that all the cases related to GP Singh be resolved and reinstated within four weeks. 1994 batch IPS officer GP Singh was given compulsory retirement by the Union Home Ministry in the month of July last year on the recommendation of the state government. Let us inform that on July 1, 2021, the ACB team had conducted raids at Singh’s government bungalow at Police Lines, apart from Rajnandgaon and 15 other places in Odisha, in which many sensitive documents along with undisclosed assets worth Rs 10 crore were found. On the basis of the property recovered from the raid, on one hand the ACB had registered an FIR against GP Singh in a corruption case, while on the other hand the government had suspended him on 5th July and registered a case of treason against him on the night of 8th July.

After this incident, on July 9, 2021, GP Singh filed a petition in the High Court, demanding a CBI investigation. After investigation of the case, GP Singh was arrested from Noida on 11 January 2022, after which he got bail in May 2022.

After this entire incident, on the recommendation of the Service Review Committee, on July 21, 2023, the Union Home Ministry compulsorily retired IPS GP Singh from the Government of India. When the decision was taken to compulsorily retire IPS, GP Singh had eight years of service left.

Purushottam Patra, Gariaband. Due to personal dispute, brother-in-law brutally murdered his brother-in-law. After the incident, the family informed the police station. City Kotwali police reached the spot and arrested the accused. This matter is of village Tanwarbahra.

According to the information received, there was a dispute with the wife and brother-in-law over food. After this, in a fit of rage, the accused killed the brother-in-law by hitting him on the neck with an axe. Due to this the young man died at the spot. After the incident, the family informed the matter in the police station. As soon as information about the incident was received, the City Kotwali police reached the spot. The police arrested the accused Banshi Dhruv and took further action.

Pradeep Gupta, Kawardha. People troubled by theft of vehicles in the city have got relief. Pandariya police has arrested a vehicle thief. A Maruti van, two bikes, 1 scooter and laptop have been recovered from the possession of the accused.

Actually, incidents of bike theft were continuously happening in Pandariya. The police had received a complaint about this. Pandariya police formed a team and laid a trap against the bike thief and reached the accused. After arresting the accused and interrogating him strictly, the thief confessed to the theft.

Yogesh Singh Rajput, Bemetra. A horrific road accident has occurred in Bemetara district of Chhattisgarh. 8 people have died in the accident. The dead include 5 women and 3 children. While 21 people are injured. Out of which the condition of 4 is critical, they have been referred to Raipur AIIMS. Treatment of other injured is going on in the nearby hospitals of the district. As soon as information about the incident was received, Collector, SP and SDM administration are present on the spot.

According to the information, the accident took place near village Kathiya petrol pump of Bemetara police station area. A Mazda parked on the roadside was hit by a pickup full of people. All the people were returning from Tiraiya village to their village Patharra after attending a family function. Those who lost their lives in the accident have been identified. Collector, SP and SDM administration are present at the incident site. The police is taking further action in the matter.

Collector Ranbir Sharma told that the villagers of Pathra village had gone to celebrate Chhathi. He met with an accident near Kathia. Everyone was traveling in a pickup. The pickup collided with a truck. The SP and Collector reached the hospital and inquired about better treatment of the injured.

Giving information about the incident, Bemetara SP Ramakrishna Sahu said that information about the incident was received at around 11 pm. A road accident took place near Kathiya village. The police reached there promptly and an ambulance was also called. The injured and the dead have been sent to the hospital with the help of ambulance. According to the information received, eight people have died. Other pickup riders are injured. The seriously injured people have been referred and the rest are undergoing treatment in the district hospital.

The video of assault and abuse of a bank employee is said to be from Bakarkatta village of Khairagarh district. Where the woman had reached the Bakarkatta branch of Punjab and Sindh Bank to collect her money. But the bank server was not working. There was a dispute between the woman and the bank manager regarding this matter and a fight started. Someone present there made a video of this incident from his mobile. However, no complaint has been made by the police from either side in this matter.
