    Lakshika Sahu, Raipur. Raipur district administration organized a meeting of Ganesh Utsav committees in the Red Cross auditorium located in the Collectorate. Officers of all the committees were present in this meeting. During this, special instructions were given to the representatives of the local administration and Ganesh Utsav committees to submit the necessary reports on time and to follow the immersion process of idols and the use of polythene as per the guidelines of NGT.

    Important instructions regarding Ganesh festival

    The district administration has issued several important instructions regarding Ganesh immersion and pandal construction. Under the issued instructions, orders have been given for Ganesh pandal construction and immersion.

    Ganesh immersion should be done at designated places. Volunteers should be posted at all pandals with CCTV cameras. Biodegradable materials should be used. Use of polythene bags will be completely banned.

    In the meeting of the committees, ADM Devendra Patel has asked the officials of the Ganesh Utsav committees not to set up pandals on the roadside so as not to disturb the peace and to avoid traffic obstruction. A cleanliness drive will also be run during the festival and the concerned committees will be held responsible in case of any violation. Along with this, a warning has also been given of strict action for spreading pollution and dirt. Additional Superintendent of Police OP Sharma along with district administration officials and officers were present in the meeting.
