The chief of Bhagalpur ISKCON temple Giridhari Das has accused president Krishna Kripa Das of harassing a girl and assaulting those who raised the issue,  reported Dainik Bhaskar. After receiving information about the incident, police from the Kotwali station arrived at the scene and began investigating the matter

Upon hearing about the case, DSP Law & Order Krishna Murari Prasad also reached the Kotwali station and questioned the victims. Bajrang Sena members also arrived with his supporters, demanding action against the Patna temple president.

However, Patna ISKCON’s chief priest and spokesperson, Nand Gopal Das, denied the incident, stating that no such altercation took place within ISKCON and that the allegations of assault are false. DSP Law & Order said CCTV footage is being reviewed. Some videos of the alleged incident have gone viral on social media.

DSP Krishna Murari Prasad further stated that after questioning both parties, one thing became clear: a person who had transferred to Bhagalpur was previously involved in some issues here as well. Such incidents in the temple reflect a lack of discipline, and the matter will be thoroughly investigated. CCTV footage is being examined, and the allegations made by one party will be investigated. An FIR has not yet been registered.

In 2021, Tej Pratap Yadav through a Facebook post accused Krishna Kripa Das and his supporters of destroying the temple culture. Yadav alleged that women and girls were harassed by the people heading the temple administration, reported Hindustan.

  • ‘Virat Kohli Played Under My Captaincy’: Tejashwi Yadav On Prashant Kishor’s ‘9th Fail’ Remark |

RJD leader and former Deputy CM of Bihar Tejashwi Yadav often faces opposition flak for his educational qualification. Rivals like Prashant Kishor did not miss an opportunity to question Yadav’s credential that makes him fit to hold the post of Bihar Dy CM or future CM apart from the fact that he is son of former CM Lalu Prasad Yadav. Political analyst Kishor who has now launched a political outfit Jan Suraj has vigorously criticised Yadav from time to time. Now, in an interview with Zee News Bihar/Jharkhand, Tejashwi gave it back to Kishor.

Speaking to the Zee media, Tejashwi Yadav said that when he was playing cricket, top players like Virat Kohli played under his captaincy. “I was a cricketer and no one talks about it. Virat Kohli played in my captaincy -did anyone ever talk about it? Why don’t they do so? As a professional, I played a good cricket. Many Team India players are my batchmates. I had to quit as my both ligaments were fractured. Let it be. There are many brokers of the BJP including political parties and leaders whom the party fields during election seasons against me,” said Yadav. Tejashwi Yadav had earlier said that when he was leading Delhi’s under-15 and under-17 team, Kohli was part of the team.

Brushing asides Prashant Kishor’s allegations, Tejashwi Yadav said that such optics are not going to work in Bihar as people of the state are clever enough to ‘rub turmeric on flying bird’ – a popular slang to indicate that people of Bihar know true motives behind public statements.

Bihar has been witnessing an unstable political situation with CM Nitish Kumar often swtiching sides between the BJP and the RJD. This has significantly affected the Bihar’s growth and development work. The state will now go to the polls around October-November this year where the RJD-Congress will look to win a majority on their own so to avoid a dependence on Nitish Kumar. On the other hand, the BJP will look to maxmize its seats to gain the upper hand in the state.

PATNA: RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav’s daughter Rohini Acharya’s bid to reclaim the Saran Lok Sabha seat, once represented by the socialist leader, for the party is being challenged by a namesake of her father. Contestant Laloo Prasad Yadav, a local farmer from Bihar’s Saran district, the ‘karmabhoomi’ of his famous namesake, has a penchant for contesting elections.

This time, he filed his nomination papers as a candidate of the Rashtriya Jansambhavna Party (RJP) for Saran Lok Sabha seat on April 26. Earlier, Laloo Prasad Yadav had filed his nominations for 2022 Presidential polls as well. He had also filed his nomination papers for the 2017 Presidential polls, which was a contest between the then Bihar Governor Ram Nath Kovind, who went on to win, and former Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar, who was a native of the soil.

However, his papers got rejected in the 2017 Presidential polls since those were not endorsed by an adequate number of proposers. “I have been contesting Lok Sabha polls from Saran constituency for the last several terms. I had contested against former Bihar chief minister Rabri Devi as well. This time, I am contesting against her daughter Rohini Acharya,” Laloo Prasad Yadav told PTI over the phone.

He also exuded of “winning the election by a comfortable margin”. “I engage in agriculture for a living and also do social work. I keep trying my luck, from panchayat to Presidential polls. I am leaving no stone unturned to win this election… People of Saran are with me,” Yadav said.

When asked about his opponents calling him ‘dharti pakad’ (one who clings on to the earth), a term associated with those who like to contest polls for the sake of thrill and publicity, and ‘vote katwa’ (one who divides votes), Yadav said, “I don’t care about all these labels. They are my opponents and they will say such things. I contest polls only for the sake of my electorate in Saran.” According to the affidavit filed by the RJP candidate, Yadav has Rs 5 lakh cash in hand whereas his wife has 2 lakh cash. He always accuses our family of corruption whenever he arrives here (Bihar). If the people of this country give the INDIA alliance a chance (to form the government), then from PM Modi to BJP leaders, they will be behind bars.” Her assertion, deemed as a threat by the BJP, drew sharp criticism.

    BJP Replies To Misa Bharti

Reacting to Bharti’s remarks, Ravi Shankar Prasad, a prominent Bihar BJP leader, warned against such rhetoric, emphasizing that threatening the Prime Minister would not be tolerated. Earlier today, Tejashvi Yadav hit out at PM Modi and called him a “machine of lies.” Reacting to Modi’s statement that leaders of the INDIA alliance are “anti-Sanatan”, RJD leader said, “What is the proof? Am I not a Hindu? There is a temple in my house. Are people of the BJP considering themselves as God? People of BJP should not compare themselves with God. God is watching everything and everyone has to go there.”

In the post on X, Yadav had accused the BJP of indulging in “institutional, organised and systematic corruption”, which was marked by huge donations to the party through electoral bonds and hounding of political adversaries through ED, CBI and IT department.

Yadav, who is named in land-for-jobs scam, pertaining to father Lalu Prasad’s tenure as Railway Minister when he was a minor, had also sought to know why the agencies took no action against leaders of the BJP who faced corruption allegations and how come turncoats from the opposition camp often got reprieve after crossing over.

“I am glad that ever since I started flagging the political dynasts in the BJP-led coalition, the PM has stopped his rants against parivarvad. The very candidate he has campaigned for Bihar comes from a political family,” he said.

He also scoffed at the PM’s claim “I address rallies only to have a darshan of my people” despite being confident of a win in the elections, which is being predicted by surveys.

The RJD leader remarked, “If that is so, why is the PM having a darshan of the people only during election time? The fact is, he is scared. So he is playing mind games. He has been a manufacturer, distributor and wholesaler, all rolled into one, of lies.”
