Imran Khan will proceed to be the High Minister of Pakistan till the appointment of a caretaker premier, consistent with a notification issued by means of President Arif Alvi on Monday.
The incumbent High Minister shall proceed to carry workplace until appointment of the care-taker premier, the notification stated.
Previous within the day, the Cupboard Secretariat issued a notification declaring that Khan had “ceased to carry the workplace of the high minister of Pakistan with speedy impact”.
Alternatively, beneath Article 94 of the Charter, the president “might ask the High Minister to proceed to carry workplace till his successor enters upon the workplace of High Minister”.
President Alvi had dissolved the Nationwide Meeting (NA) at the recommendation of High Minister Khan, mins after Deputy Speaker Qasim Suri rejected a no-confidence movement in opposition to the premier, who had successfully misplaced the bulk within the 342-member decrease space of Parliament.
