Brian Bennett, the 21-year-old batsman from Zimbabwe, has added another remarkable achievement to his career, establishing a new world record in the realm of T20 International cricket. Bennett has become the first cricketer to strike six fours in a single over during a T20I match. This historic event unfolded during the 2026 T20 World Cup qualification match against Kenya. The record-breaking over occurred in the fourth over of the Zimbabwe innings, where Bennett took on Kenyan bowler Lucas Oluoch, smashing six consecutive boundaries. This feat of six fours in an over is a first in T20I history. Bennett’s outstanding performance included a total of 51 runs off just 25 balls, achieving a strike rate exceeding 204. His innings comprised eight boundaries and two sixes. Kenya had batted first, scoring 122 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in their 20 overs. Bennett started the innings for Zimbabwe and contributed significantly to a 76-run opening partnership. Bennett’s score was a substantial 51 runs, prominently highlighted by his world-record-setting over of six fours.
