The West Indies delivered a resounding performance in the third and final ODI against Pakistan in Trinidad, resulting in a 202-run victory and a series win with a 2-1 result. This win marks a significant moment, being their first home series win against Pakistan in 36 years.

Chasing a target of 295, Pakistan’s batting faltered dramatically, getting all out for a mere 92 runs in just 29.2 overs. There were no significant partnerships as wickets fell at regular intervals.

Notably, five Pakistani players – Saim Ayub, Abdullah Shafique, Mohammad Rizwan, and Abrar Ahmed – were dismissed without scoring. Salman Ali Agha, with 30 runs, offered a brief highlight, but lacked support.

Babar Azam continued his poor form, scoring only 9 runs before being dismissed. He now holds the record of 72 international innings without reaching a century, raising questions about his form in all formats.

Jayden Seales was outstanding for the West Indies, taking six crucial wickets while giving away only 18 runs. His bowling figures were 7.2 overs with an economy rate of 2.45.

Earlier, West Indies captain Shai Hope played a pivotal innings, scoring 120 off 125 balls, which included 10 fours and 5 sixes. His performance was key in helping his team achieve a total of 294/6 in 50 overs. This victory is a landmark for West Indies cricket, marking their first home ODI series win against Pakistan since 1988 and their first bilateral ODI series win against Pakistan since 1991.
