India stumbled early, losing Aaron George for 9 with the score at 20. But Suryavanshi, partnering with Mhatre, steadied the ship with a sensational 142-run stand off 90 balls. Mhatre fell for a gritty 53 off 51 balls, featuring seven fours and two sixes, pushing the score to 162.
Suryavanshi then linked up with Vedant Trivedi for a rapid 89-run alliance in just 39 balls, keeping the momentum alive. The young opener’s masterclass ended at 175 from 80 balls, laced with 15 fours and 15 sixes, leaving the crowd in awe.
