Former US Open champions Dominic Thiem and Venus Williams are set to ply their business within the upcoming version of the hard-court championship, beginning in round two weeks.
The US Tennis Affiliation (USTA), on Wednesday, August 17, mentioned that Venus and Thiem had been passed wild-card entries into the remaining Grand Slam of 2022.
Coco Vandeweghe, Sofia Kenin, Peyton Stearns, 17-year-old Eleana Yu and Elizabeth Mandlik had been the opposite American citizens, who were given wild-card entries together with Venus. It’s pertinent to notice that Kenin is a former Australian Open champion.
Emilio Nava, Sam Querrey, Learner Tien, Ben Shelton and JJ Wolf are the American citizens who were given direct access into the primary draw by way of wildcards at Flushing Meadows.
