Umpire Anil Chaudhary said in an interview, “He is a natural. His footwork is very good. He does not come ahead of the crease quickly. He waits for the ball. There is a thing in cricket called ‘ball sense’, which Rohit Sharma has tremendously. Look at his short-arm pull, my God. He has an amazing understanding of the ball. He knows when to move forward on the ball.
Rohit’s cricket IQ is awesome
Umpire Anil Chaudhary says that Rohit may look lazy on the field, but he has a tremendous cricket IQ. He is a very smart player. ‘When he bats, it seems like the ball is coming at 120 (km per hour), whereas when any other batsman bats, it seems like the same ball is coming at 160 KMPH. He further said that Rohit may look casual on the field, but in reality he is not casual at all.’

Umpire Anil Chaudhary recalled a match and said, “I was a TV umpire in a match. Rohit scored more than 200 runs in that match. He was hitting sixes on balls which were yorkers for others. I think the match was in Kolkata. He has a different class. Rohit has a good idea of swing.
