Nitin Namdev, Raipur. A residential girls hockey sports academy is being started in Raipur from this year. State level selection trials are being organized in Raipur from 17 to 19 July from 7 pm to select players for the academy. Also read: Raipur News: Bribe-taking woman TI did not get bail

Girls hockey players of the state and players of 13-17 age group from other states can take part in the selection trials, wherein on the first day, registration and document verification of players, medical test and physical efficiency test will be conducted at Swami Vivekanand Stadium in Kota and on the second and third day, sports skill test will be conducted at Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel International Hockey Stadium Pitch-01.

Players will be selected on the basis of their excellent performance in the selection trials. The government will provide free accommodation, food, educational expenses, sports apparel, playing kit, accident insurance etc. to the players selected for the 30-seat residential sports academy.
