Following India’s win against Pakistan in the Asia Cup final in Dubai, Indian T20 captain Suryakumar Yadav announced that he will donate his match fees from all Asia Cup matches to the Indian Army. The victory on Sunday night was not only a celebration of skill but also a gesture of respect, as the captain previously dedicated the first match win to the Indian Army and families affected by the Pahalgam attack.

In the final, a solid half-century by Tilak Varma, coupled with strong partnerships with Sanju Samson and Shivam Dube, steered India to victory against Pakistan. This win secured India’s second T20 International Asia Cup title and their ninth overall, encompassing the one-day international format.

**Commitment to Donate to the Indian Army**

After the match, Suryakumar Yadav revealed his intention to donate his match fees to the Indian Army. This commitment was a reflection of his respect for the armed forces. Although India won the tournament, the team declined to accept the medals and the trophy during the awards ceremony. The ACC President from Pakistan, Mohsin Naqvi, was ready to present the trophy, but the Indian players did not accept it, and instead, celebrated the victory on the field without it.

    **First Match Tribute**

India’s Asia Cup 2025 campaign started with a match against Pakistan on September 14 at the Dubai International Stadium. India won that match with a strong performance, and Suryakumar Yadav dedicated the victory to the Indian Army and those impacted by the Pahalgam attack. This recent decision to donate match fees emphasizes his ongoing support for the armed forces after the final.
