    The first ODI of the India A vs. Australia A series, played in Kanpur’s Green Park, witnessed a one-sided contest. India A, captained by Shreyas Iyer, dominated the match, securing a comprehensive victory. The team’s strong performance saw them score over 400 runs before restricting Australia A to under 250, resulting in a 171-run win and a 1-0 lead in the series. India A, after losing the toss, was put into bat and capitalized on the opportunity. Priyansh Arya and Shreyas Iyer’s centuries were the highlights of their innings, contributing to the team’s total of 413 runs for 6 wickets in 50 overs. This was the third time India A had breached the 400-run mark in List A cricket. Priyansh Arya scored 101 runs from 84 balls, which included 11 fours and 5 sixes, while Shreyas Iyer hit 110 runs off 83 balls, featuring 12 fours and 4 sixes. Prabhsimran Singh added 56 runs off 53 balls, and Riyan Parag contributed 67 runs off 42 balls. Ayush Badoni scored 50 runs from just 27 balls to accelerate the scoring. Will Sutherland took two wickets for Australia, with Tom Straker, Liam Scott, Todd Murphy, and Tanveer Sangha each taking a wicket.

    Australia A started their chase with a decent start, but the Indian bowlers fought back to dismiss the entire team for 242 runs in 33.1 overs. Nishant Sindhu led the bowling attack with four wickets for 50 runs in 6.1 overs. Ravi Bishnoi took two wickets, and Ayush Badoni, Yudhvir Singh, Simarjeet Singh, and Gurjapneet Singh each took one wicket.
