The Indian cricketer Sanju Samson, known for his powerful batting, also excels in fielding. His fielding skills have been praised in various cricket formats, including the IPL and international matches. He brings the same level of commitment to domestic tournaments and smaller leagues. This was evident in a recent Kerala Cricket League match, where Samson’s quick reflexes helped his team secure a wicket. It wasn’t just Sanju’s effort; his brother, Sali Samson, played an important part in this success.

Sanju and Sali Samson, playing for the Kochi Blue Tigers, participated in the Kerala Cricket League. On August 21st, they played against Adani Trivandrum Royals. Trivandrum batted first and faced an early setback when opener Subin S was dismissed without scoring. This early dismissal was due to the Samsons’ fielding brilliance.

Sali Samson, the elder brother, bowled the first over for Kochi. The first ball was aimed at the stumps. The batsman played the ball towards mid-off and attempted a run. Sanju swiftly picked up the ball and threw it towards the non-striker’s end. Sali quickly ran to the stumps. Sanju’s throw was perfect, and Sali caught the ball to complete a run-out.

Due to the combined fielding efforts of Sanju and Sali, Trivandrum was restricted to only 97 runs. Sali also took a stunning catch by diving backwards. Kochi won the match easily by 8 wickets in 12 overs. Sali, the captain, scored an unbeaten 50 runs off 30 balls and led the team to victory, while Sanju did not get to bat.
