Former New Zealand cricketer Ross Taylor has decided to come out of retirement and will now play for Samoa. Taylor has shared that he will be representing Samoa in cricket. He expressed his excitement about the opportunity to give back to the game and share his experience. Taylor will be participating in the World Cup Asia-Pacific Qualifying Series in October in Oman, representing Samoa. Samoa is in Group 3 and will play against the host country and Papua New Guinea. The top two teams from each of the three groups in the qualifying tournament will advance to the Super Six stage. This tournament will determine the top three teams that will secure a place in the upcoming T20I World Cup to be held in India and Sri Lanka. Taylor made his international cricket debut for New Zealand in 2006 and played his last match in 2022.
