The 2025 US Open is shaping up to be a landmark event in tennis, with a record-breaking $90 million (INR 785 crore) in total prize money. This represents a substantial increase of 20% compared to the previous year. The US Open’s prize purse is notably higher than those of other Grand Slam tournaments, including Wimbledon, the Australian Open, and the French Open. The singles champions (men’s and women’s) will each be awarded $5 million (INR 43.6 crore). Last year, Jannik Sinner and Aryna Sabalenka each received $3.6 million (INR 31.39 crore). Doubles winners will each take home $1 million (INR 8.72 crore) per team. The tournament’s prize money allocation per round is as follows: First Round – $110,000; Second Round – $154,000; Third Round – $237,000; Round of 16 – $400,000; Quarterfinals – $660,000; Semifinals – $1,260,000; Runner-up – $2,500,000; and Champion – $5,000,000. With the significant financial incentives, the 2025 US Open is expected to attract the best players and deliver exciting matches.
