Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, Delhi Capitals (DC) defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) by 6 wickets on his own home ground. Wicketkeeper batsman KL Rahul, who was the hero of Delhi’s victory, played a tremendous innings of 93 runs.
After winning the toss, Delhi Capitals captain Akshar Patel decided to bowl first. RCB made an aggressive start and scored 60 runs in just 4 overs without losing wickets. Opener Phil Salt played a fast innings of 37 runs in 17 balls, but was runout. After this, the middle order of RCB stumbled. Virat Kohli contributed 22 runs, Rajat Patidar contributed 25 and Tim David contributed 37 runs. Royal Challengers Bangalore gave a target of 164 runs to Delhi Capitals by losing 7 wickets.
