Hyderabad’s Balayogi Stadium witnessed thrilling action as the Senior Women’s National Kabaddi Championship reached its quarterfinal stage. Four powerhouse teams—Indian Railways, Haryana, Tamil Nadu, and Himachal Pradesh—clinched dramatic victories to secure semifinal berths, setting the stage for an electrifying climax.

Defending champions Indian Railways dominated Quarterfinal 1, crushing Maharashtra 58-23. Star raider Sakshi led the charge with 10 points, while Pooja chipped in with nine. Defenders Sonali Shingte and Mandira Sampat Komkar were impenetrable, ensuring Railways maintained relentless pressure throughout.

Haryana delivered a masterclass in Quarterfinal 2, demolishing Madhya Pradesh 63-16 in one of the tournament’s most lopsided wins. Raj Rani was unstoppable with 17 points, supported by Ruci’s 11 and Nikita’s 10, showcasing Haryana’s offensive firepower and defensive solidity.

The closest contest unfolded in Quarterfinal 3, where Tamil Nadu edged out Chandigarh 39-37. Despite Chandigarh’s strong league-stage form, Karthika R’s 15 crucial points and Suzy M’s nine proved decisive. Chandigarh’s Anjali (10 points) and Monika Rani (seven) fought valiantly, but Tamil Nadu’s composure under pressure sealed the deal.

Himachal Pradesh completed the semifinal lineup in Quarterfinal 4, overpowering Punjab 48-25. Pushpa’s 16 points and Jyoti’s 12 gave them control, while Punjab’s Simran Kamboj scored 17 in a gritty effort. Himachal’s consistent lead proved unassailable.

With these battle-hardened squads advancing, fans can expect high-stakes semifinals packed with skill, strategy, and non-stop excitement. The race for the national title intensifies.
