Pakistan Cricket: Pakistan cricket team has to tour Australia next month i.e. in November, where three ODIs and as many T20s will be played. PCB can announce a new captain for these series.

Pakistan Cricket: Many big decisions are being taken these days in Pakistan cricket. Recently, some big players were rested for the second and third matches of the Test series against England, so that new players could get a chance. Meanwhile, Pakistan’s ODI and T20 teams are also going to get a new captain, because Babar Azam had left the captaincy of these formats some time ago. According to reports, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) may announce a new captain before the Australia tour.

Mohammad Rizwan can become the new captain

According to reports, PCB is planning to make Mohammad Rizwan the new captain in white-ball cricket. According to a PTI report, PCB chairman and white-ball cricket head coach Gary Kirsten held a meeting with the selection committee in Karachi, in which Rizwan’s name was discussed. The ODI series against Australia starts from 6th November. Before that the new captain will be announced.

A PCB source said that the third Test against England will end on October 28 and after that the team will leave for Australia the next day. In such a situation, the limited overs team will be announced by Sunday. Mohammad Rizwan is at the forefront of the race for the new captain due to his excellent performance and captaincy experience.

Why was Shaheen Afridi left behind?

Shaheen Afridi’s name also came up for white-ball captaincy, but PCB is relying more on experienced wicketkeeper batsman Mohammad Rizwan. The return of senior player Babar Azam is certain in the T20 series.
