    The Asia Cup 2025 has begun with notable performances from India and Pakistan. India secured a victory against the United Arab Emirates (UAE) by 9 wickets in their opening match. Pakistan achieved a comprehensive win over Oman with a 93-run difference. The focus now shifts to their upcoming clash in Dubai on September 14th. Before the India-Pakistan match, Pakistan’s captain, Salman Agha, who was out for a duck in the first game, made a strong statement.

    After the win against Oman, Salman Agha stated his team is playing well. He indicated that they need to maintain their standard of cricket. He believes that if they can successfully implement their plans, they can beat any team in the tournament and is looking forward to a great contest against India. He also pointed out the need for improvement in batting, however praised the bowling unit. He also commented on the performance of spinners and the variation they bring to the team and complimented Sam Ayub’s performance with the bat. He also discussed the importance of having a good spin attack in UAE conditions, and how the team is lucky to have multiple quality spinners in the squad.
