Satya Rajput, Raipur. The School Games Federation of India (SGFI) has recognized CBSE as an independent entity, due to which students of CBSE affiliated schools will not be able to participate in sports competitions organized by the School Education Department. According to the new system, students of CBSE affiliated schools will now participate in national school sports competitions separately. According to the School Games Federation of India, this change will come into effect from the session 2024-2025.
Let us tell you that at present, students of CBSE affiliated schools used to participate in block, district, division, and state level school kida competitions, which were organized by the School Education Department. Now, SGFI has authorized CBSE to participate independently. As a result, from the session 2024-2025, CBSE students will participate in national school kida competitions only through competitions organized by CBSE.
Under this new order, students of CBSE affiliated schools have been excluded from block, district, division, and state level school sports competitions. This order will come into effect immediately. According to the education department, this decision has been taken with the aim of providing more clarity and convenience to the students. This will provide an equal opportunity for competition at the national level and students will get more opportunities to hone their sports talent.
