Mithun Manhas is the frontrunner to be the next BCCI President. The decision seems to have been finalized during a meeting in Delhi on February 20th. The formal announcement is expected at the AGM on September 28th. Manhas, who has an extensive domestic cricket record with nearly 15,000 runs, is set to make history. He has played 157 first-class matches, 130 List A matches, and 91 T20 matches. If Manhas is appointed, it will mark the first time an uncapped cricketer will hold the position. The current president, Roger Binny, will be replaced, with Manhas taking over. This change signifies a shift in leadership, with Manhas set to become the third cricketer to lead the BCCI.
