Karan Mishra, Gwalior. India has given a crushing defeat to Bangladesh in the first match of India Bangladesh T20 series. In the match held at Shrimant Madhavrao Scindia Cricket Stadium in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, Team India won the match by 7 wickets and took a 1-0 lead in the series.
After losing the Test series to Bangladesh, now the Indian team looked dominant over the Bangladeshi team in the T20 format also. In the first match of the three-match T20 series, Indian young players, under the captaincy of Suryakumar Yadav, defeated Bangladesh. This match also becomes special because an international cricket match was organized in Gwalior after 14 years.

Varun and Harshdeep took three wickets each
In this first match of the T20 series against Bangladesh, Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav won the toss and decided to bowl first. Mayank Yadav and Nitish Kumar Reddy made their international debut in Team India and both the players gave a stellar performance in their debut match. Bangladeshi players scored 127 runs in 19.4 overs and were all out. Varun Chakraborty and Harshdeep Singh performed brilliantly for India and took three wickets each. Also, Hardik Pandya, Mayank Yadav and Washington Sundar also took one wicket each.
Big contribution of Hardik Pandya
When the Indian team’s innings started after the first innings, Sanju Samson and Abhishek Sharma started gaining momentum, but Abhishek Sharma was run out after scoring 16 runs in seven balls and thus India’s first wicket fell. But the Indian young players did not stop the pace of their runs and achieved the target of 128 runs in 11.5 overs by losing only three wickets. Hardik Pandya’s biggest contribution behind this victory was that he scored unbeaten 39 runs on 16 balls. Along with him, Sanju Samson contributed 29 runs and captain Suryakumar Yadav also contributed 29 runs for his team. Abhishek Sharma and Nitish Kumar Reddy also played an inning of 16 runs each.
