Kho Kho World Cup 2025: India created history in the Kho Kho World Cup 2025 by winning the title in both men’s and women’s categories in the first season. In the final matches played at Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium on Sunday, Indian teams defeated Nepal and were crowned champions.
The women’s team performed brilliantly and defeated Nepal by a huge margin of 78-40. At the same time, the men’s team also showed strong performance and defeated Nepal by a margin of 54-36.
Men’s final match: Nepal did not get a chance to open the account in the first turn.
The Indian team had a great start in the men’s final match. India scored 26 points in the first turn and did not even give Nepal a chance to open its account. However, in the second turn, Nepal tried to make a comeback and scored 18 points, but the Indian team maintained its lead of 8 points.
In the third turn, the Indian team displayed aggressive play and completely eliminated Nepal from the match and crossed 50 points. In the fourth and final turn, India maintained its lead and won with the score of 54-36.
Women’s final match: Indian women’s team dominated from beginning to end
The Indian women’s team showed aggressive play from the very beginning of the match. Under the leadership of captain Priyanka Ingle, India took a huge lead of 34-0 in the first turn. Nepal scored some points in the second turn, but could not reduce India’s lead.
India scored 38 more points in the third turn, taking the score to 73-24. Nepal team could score only 16 points in the last turn and India won by a huge margin of 78-40.

With this historic win in the first season of Kho-Kho World Cup 2025, the Indian men’s and women’s teams have established their dominance. A total of 20 teams took part in the first edition of the Men’s World Cup, in which India defeated Nepal from its group match till the final.
