In a recent Instagram post, Sanjana Ganesan showcased a touching moment: her son, Angad, with the cricket ball from Jasprit Bumrah’s exceptional performance in the Headingley Test. The ball was customized with inscriptions of “England”, “Jasprit Bumrah”, and his bowling statistics: 24.4-5-83-5. Bumrah’s impressive spell saw him claim the wickets of Zak Crawley, Ben Duckett, Joe Root, Chris Woakes, and Josh Tongue. Mohammed Siraj and Prasidh Krishna contributed to the Indian bowling attack with figures of 2/122 and 3/128 respectively. England scored 465 in their innings, just short of India’s 471. Bumrah commented on the pitch conditions, noting the variable pace and the potential for swing with the new ball. He expressed the team’s intention to achieve a high score and secure a strong lead. He also discussed the importance of quickly moving past setbacks in the game, emphasizing the need to maintain focus and continue playing.
