New Zealand’s preparations for the ODI series against England have been disrupted by an injury to their star fast bowler, Kyle Jamieson. Jamieson felt stiffness in his left side during a recent training session, prompting the team management to withdraw him from the series as a precautionary measure. This means the Black Caps will need to find a new pace option for the three-match contest. The team is expected to announce a replacement player in the coming days, ahead of the first ODI. While Jamieson will miss the England clashes, the team is hopeful that he will recover sufficiently to participate in the subsequent home series against the West Indies. Coach Rob Walter highlighted that the decision was made to ensure Jamieson has the best possible chance of being fully fit for the upcoming fixtures. Player welfare remains a top priority for the New Zealand coaching staff.
