Exciting news for Mumbai cricket fans as star batter Yashasvi Jaiswal is confirmed to play in the third round of the Ranji Trophy 2025/26 season. Mumbai will face Rajasthan in Jaipur, with the match set to begin on November 1st. Jaiswal, a key player in India’s Test setup, has made himself available for this crucial domestic fixture. This move is in accordance with the BCCI’s directive for centrally contracted players to participate in domestic tournaments when their international schedules permit. After featuring in the ODI series against Australia, Jaiswal is not part of the upcoming T20I leg. His last Test century was a magnificent 175 against the West Indies. Jaiswal has conveyed his intention to play to the Mumbai selectors. This marks his return to the Mumbai Ranji Trophy squad after a period where he considered a move to another state team. His recent domestic involvement was in the Duleep Trophy in August. This participation in the Ranji Trophy will be instrumental in sharpening Jaiswal’s form ahead of the anticipated home Test series against South Africa, commencing later in November.
