In a high-octane warm-up clash for the Men’s T20 World Cup 2026, India A crushed USA by 38 runs at the DY Patil Sports Academy in Navi Mumbai. The star of the show was opener Narayan Jagdishan, whose blistering century set the tone for a commanding performance.
Opting to bowl first after losing the toss, USA watched helplessly as India A openers Priyansh Arya and Jagdishan laid a solid foundation with a 43-run stand in just four overs. Arya fell for 28 off 13 balls, smashing two sixes and three fours, but Jagdishan was just getting started.
Building on the momentum, Jagdishan partnered with Tilak Varma for a sensational 113-run alliance off 55 balls. Varma contributed a quickfire 38 from 24 deliveries, laced with two sixes and three boundaries. Jagdishan then teamed up with skipper Ayush Badoni, adding 73 runs in 35 balls to propel India past 200.
Jagdishan departed for a magnificent 104 off 55 balls, featuring 11 fours and four sixes. Badoni remained unbeaten on 60 from 26 balls, with four sixes and six fours. India A finished at 238 for 3 in 20 overs. USA’s Ali Khan, Jasdeep Singh, and Shubham Ranjane picked up one wicket each.
Chasing a mammoth total, USA started steadily with captain Monank Patel and Andries Gous putting on 32 in 2.5 overs. Patel managed 10 off seven balls before perishing, followed by Saiteja Mukkamalla for a duck.
Gous fought valiantly, scoring 44 off 31 balls in a 39-run stand with Milind Kumar (18). Later partnerships, including 64 runs between Shubham Ranjane (28) and Sanjay Krishnamurthy (41), and 35 between Mohsin (21) and Harmeet Singh (25), kept hopes alive but fell short. USA folded at 200 in 19.4 overs.
Ravi Bishnoi starred with 3 for 27, while Khaleel Ahmed and Naman Dhir claimed two wickets apiece. Ashok Kumar, Tilak Varma, and Ayush Badoni also chipped in with one each. This emphatic win boosts India A’s confidence ahead of the tournament.
