Saba Karim, former Indian cricketer, provided his perspective on the upcoming IPL Qualifier 2 match between Mumbai Indians (MI) and Punjab Kings (PBKS). He anticipates MI’s victory, emphasizing their strong form and potent bowling attack. He also shared his hopes for Virat Kohli and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) to clinch the IPL title.

Karim’s analysis, shared at the Fit India ‘Sundays on Cycle’ event in Delhi, highlights MI’s dominance. Despite PBKS’s league stage success, they faced a significant defeat. In contrast, MI demonstrated a strong batting performance in the eliminator, successfully defending their score.

Karim also discussed Kohli’s performance, expressing his wish for RCB to win the IPL this season.

In addition, Karim discussed India’s upcoming tour of England, viewing it as a valuable opportunity for the young team led by Shubman Gill. He noted the promising bench strength and the chance for emerging talents to showcase their skills. The tour commences on June 20 with the first Test in Leeds.

Karim also acknowledged Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s support for the emerging talent, particularly 14-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi, recognizing Suryavanshi’s exceptional performance in the IPL, including his record-breaking century.
