In a career still in its early stages, Indian batting sensation Yashasvi Jaiswal has achieved an incredibly rare feat: playing 28 Test matches on 28 different grounds. This impressive statistic highlights his remarkable journey and his ability to adapt to the unique challenges presented by each new cricketing venue.

The young opener has never played a Test match at the same ground twice in his international career thus far. This means every single game has brought a new pitch, different weather patterns, unique bounce characteristics, and a distinct stadium atmosphere. Despite this constant variation, Jaiswal’s performance metrics indicate a player who embraces, rather than fears, new challenges.

His Test debut was nothing short of sensational, marked by a commanding 171 against the West Indies. This stellar performance immediately confirmed his talent and suitability for the rigors of international Test cricket. He continued his strong start in the subsequent matches of that series, cementing his place at the top of the order.

Jaiswal has since showcased his skills on a global stage, participating in Test series in the West Indies, South Africa, Australia, and England, in addition to numerous grounds within India. The diverse conditions, from the pace and bounce of South African pitches to the swing-friendly English wickets and the often unpredictable Australian surfaces, demand significant adaptability. Jaiswal’s technique and composed mindset have been key to his success across these varied locations.

His most defining moments arguably came during the 2024 home series against England. Jaiswal delivered two magnificent double centuries in this series, which proved instrumental in India’s comprehensive 4-1 series triumph. These monumental scores reaffirmed his class and his ability to register big, match-defining innings.

To date, in 28 Test matches, Jaiswal has amassed 2,440 runs at an average surpassing 50. He has achieved 7 Test centuries and 12 half-centuries, with his highest score being an outstanding 214. His century record includes one scored in Australia and two achieved against England on home soil.
