With the Asia Cup 2025 approaching, Indian cricketers, including Rohit Sharma and Jasprit Bumrah, will participate in mandatory fitness tests at the BCCI’s Centre of Excellence (CoE). The assessments, scheduled for August 30, will help evaluate their physical readiness for the demanding season ahead. The Yo-Yo test and Dexa Scans will be used to measure endurance, bone density, and other key fitness metrics. These tests are critical in preparing the players for the high-voltage ICC Champions Trophy and a busy international schedule. The focus is not just about meeting the required fitness levels, but also fine-tuning the players’ bodies for the demands of modern cricket. The staff will set performance benchmarks for the season based on the test results.
