    Ahead of the 2025 Kudo Asian Championship in Tokyo, Japan, Indian Kudo athlete Mohd. Sohail Khan has been ranked second in Asia in the Adult Male -250 PI category. He is behind Ryota Ondera of Japan, who leads the rankings following a gold medal win at the 6th Kudo World Championships. Sohail Khan earned five points, including a silver medal at the 2025 Kudo World Cup in Bulgaria and a bronze at the 2024 Eurasian Cup. Another Japanese athlete, Tsubasa Terasaka, holds the third position. Khan secured his spot in the Asian Championship by winning at the national selection trials in Surat. He won both of his bouts, defeating Biri Tasso and Abhimanyu Godara. Sohail Khan aims to excel in the upcoming championship, focusing on rigorous training and performance. Before the Asian Championship, he will take part in the Kudo National Tournament, the Federation Cup, and the Akshay Kumar International Kudo Tournament in Surat. He is also a four-time Akshay Kumar International Kudo Tournament gold medalist and the 2017 Junior World Champion.
