India emerged victorious in the Asia Cup 2025, triumphing over Pakistan at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on September 28. This marked the third occasion India defeated Pakistan in the same tournament. A significant point of contention during the celebrations was the removal of the trophy by ACC chairman Mohsin Naqvi. After this incident, Naqvi then took to social media to voice his opinion. Responding to a tweet from India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi, he said: “If war was your measure of pride, history already records your humiliating defeats at Pakistan’s hands. No cricket match can rewrite that truth. Dragging war into sport only exposes desperation and disgraces the very spirit of the game.”
