India emerged victorious in the Asia Cup 2025, defeating Pakistan in the final with a 5-wicket win. Opting to bowl first, India’s bowlers effectively constrained Pakistan to a score of 146 runs. Kuldeep Yadav took 4 wickets, and other bowlers such as Jasprit Bumrah, Varun Chakaravarthy, and Axar Patel each claimed 2 wickets. During India’s batting innings, Abhishek Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav, and Shubman Gill lost their wickets early. Tilak Varma played a pivotal role, guiding the team to victory with partnerships with Sanju Samson and Shivam Dube, with Rinku Singh securing the win. Post-match, the two teams did not shake hands. The Indian fans celebrated with chants of “Bharat Mata ki Jai.” Contrary to the usual presentation, the Indian team celebrated without the trophy, and this scene became a viral sensation. This final marked the first instance of an India-Pakistan final in the Asia Cup, with India achieving three wins over Pakistan throughout the tournament.
