The Super Over of the India vs Sri Lanka Asia Cup 2025 final was filled with confusion stemming from the fourth ball. Sri Lanka, with a score of 2/1, faced Arshdeep Singh, who bowled a wide yorker to Dasun Shanaka. Initially, the umpire ruled it as caught behind. Shanaka immediately reviewed, and the replays showed no contact. The decision was overturned. After the ball, Shanaka tried to run, resulting in a run out by Samson. Because the ball was dead following the initial out call, the run-out was invalid. Umpire Gazi Sohel stepped in to clarify the rule. The incident allowed Shanaka to remain in the game. India went on to win. The incident added drama to an already nail-biting final.
