In a critical match at the Rising Stars Asia Cup in Doha, India A secured their place in the semifinals with a decisive six-wicket win against Oman A. The victory underscores the team’s ability to perform under pressure and set up a potential final clash with rivals Pakistan A.

India A’s bowlers were instrumental in restricting Oman A to 135 for seven. Suyash Sharma was exceptional, taking 2 wickets for 12 runs in his four-over spell, while Gurjapneet Singh also picked up two wickets. Oman’s batting effort was spearheaded by Wasim Ali, who scored an unbeaten 54, providing a glimmer of hope for his team.

The chase for India A started with some early setbacks, but Naman Dhir’s aggressive 30 from 19 deliveries provided the necessary impetus. The innings was then masterfully controlled by Harsh Dubey. Batting at number four, Dubey displayed excellent composure and strokeplay, scoring a brilliant, unbeaten 53 off 44 balls – his career-best T20 score. Supported by Nehal Wadhera’s calm 23, Dubey ensured India A crossed the finish line with relative ease in 17.5 overs.

Having finished second in their group, India A will now compete in the first semifinal on Friday against the top-ranked team from Group A. Pakistan A has already confirmed their semifinal berth, setting the stage for a potential high-stakes final on November 23, provided both teams navigate their respective semifinal challenges successfully.
