New Delhi buzzes with excitement as Hockey India unveils the 24-member Indian squad for the FIH Men’s Pro League 2025-26 Rourkela leg. Scheduled from February 10 to 15 at the Birsa Munda International Hockey Stadium in Odisha, this high-stakes tournament promises thrilling clashes.

In a major highlight, 21-year-old Odisha sensation Roshan Kujur earns his first senior national team call-up. Kujur was part of the bronze-winning Indian junior squad at the FIH Junior World Cup 2025 in Chennai. His domestic form has been electric, starring for Vedanta Kalinga Lancers who clinched the Hero Hockey India League 2025-26 title.

The lineup blends seasoned campaigners with fresh talent across all positions. Punjab’s Manmeet Singh, another junior World Cup bronze medalist, joins after consistent showings in the HIL with HIL GC. Defenders like Amit Rohidas and Harmanpreet Singh anchor the backline, while midfield maestro Hardik Singh and forwards Abhishek and Mandeep bring firepower.

Head coach Craig Fulton emphasized the squad’s balance: ‘This mix of youth like Roshan, Manmeet, and Amandeep with senior experience from the India-A setup is exciting. Belgium and Argentina are tough, but we’re focused on peak performance.’

India faces world-class opposition in Rourkela, setting the stage for intense battles. Goalkeepers Suraj Karkera and Pavan stand ready, with midfielders Rajinder Singh, Vivek Sagar Prasad, and Nilakanta Sharma controlling the center. Forwards Sukhjeet Singh, Shilanand Lakra, and Selvam Karthi add pace and precision.

This selection signals India’s intent to dominate the Pro League leg at home. Fans in Odisha gear up for a spectacle of skill, strategy, and national pride, as the team aims to build momentum for future international challenges.
