New Delhi: Team India is firing on all cylinders at the 2026 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup. With three straight wins in the group stage, they’ve already secured a spot in the Super 8, even with one match left in Group A. BCCI Secretary Devjit Saikia praised the team’s trajectory, stating they are on the right path and hoping the momentum holds till the end.

The unbeaten Indians face Netherlands next on Wednesday at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium. A fourth consecutive victory would propel them into the Super 8 with unmatched confidence. Saikia told IANS, ‘Team India has been on the right track so far… we hope this momentum continues till the end.’

India kicked off their campaign with a thrilling 29-run win over USA at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Slumping to 77/6, Captain Suryakumar Yadav’s unbeaten 84 under pressure guided them to a competitive total. The bowlers then sealed the deal with a clinical performance.

Against Namibia, India unleashed their best, posting 209 runs. Ishan Kishan smashed 61 quickly, while Hardik Pandya’s aggressive 52 lit up the middle order. The bowlers wrapped up a 93-run rout, dismantling Namibia effortlessly.

The highlight was the 61-run demolition of Pakistan in Colombo. Batting first, India reached 175, powered by Kishan’s explosive 77 off 40 balls. The bowlers struck relentlessly, bundling Pakistan out for 114. This marked India’s biggest T20 World Cup win over Pakistan by runs, clinching Super 8 qualification.

Three wins, a stellar net run rate, and sky-high morale position India strongly. As they eye Super 8 glory, the team is primed to sustain this dominance.
