The highly anticipated match between India and Pakistan in the ICC Women’s World Cup 2025 is taking place at the R Premadasa Cricket Stadium in Colombo. This is the fifth time the two teams have met in an ODI World Cup. The Indian team, captained by Harmanpreet Kaur, is aiming for a second win in the tournament, building on their initial victory against Sri Lanka.
The Indian team has made one change for the match against Pakistan, with Amanjot Kaur sidelined due to illness. Renuka Singh Thakur has been included in the playing 11. The rest of the team remains the same as the one that won against Sri Lanka. Smriti Mandhana and Pratika Rawal will be the opening batsmen. The playing 11 also features stars such as Harleen Deol, Jemimah Rodrigues, Richa Ghosh, and Deepti Sharma.
Pakistan has also made a change to their team, with Omaima Sohail not playing and Sadaf Shamas included in her place. India holds a flawless record against Pakistan in ODI World Cup history, having won all four previous matches.
