In a thrilling display of dominance at the Terdthai Cricket Ground in Bangkok, India A has secured their spot in the final of the ACC Women’s Asia Cup Rising Stars 2026. The team overcame Sri Lanka A by five wickets in the first semifinal, with captain Radha Yadav emerging as the undisputed hero of the match.

Sri Lanka A, electing to bat first after winning the toss, struggled from the outset. Openers faltered early, and despite a gritty 35-run knock from Sanjana Kawindi featuring five boundaries, the innings crumbled. Shashini Gimhani contributed a quick 22 off 17 balls, but no other batter could stabilize the ship. The side was bowled out for 118 in just 19.4 overs.

Radha Yadav’s bowling spell was a masterclass, claiming four wickets for a mere 19 runs in 3.4 overs. Prema Rawat supported brilliantly, snaring two wickets while conceding only nine runs in her four overs. This clinical bowling performance set up a chase of 119.

India A’s pursuit began shakily with Nandini Kashyap departing for 13. But Anushka Sharma and Vrinda Dinesh forged a crucial 48-run partnership for the second wicket. Anushka scored 27 off 18 balls, while Vrinda unleashed a blistering 42 off 20 deliveries. Radha Yadav then sealed the victory with an unbeaten 31 off 18 balls, smashing seven fours.

Named Player of the Match for her all-round brilliance, Radha Yadav led her team to triumph. India A now awaits the winner of the Bangladesh A vs Pakistan A semifinal on February 22 for the title clash. This victory underscores India’s rising prowess in women’s cricket.
