The engagement of Indian cricketer Rinku Singh to Samajwadi Party MP Priya Saroj marks a new chapter. The couple is planning to wed later this year. Singh’s cricketing career is notable, particularly his achievement of hitting five sixes against Gujarat Titans in 2023. Before his rise, in 2019, he faced a three-month ban from the BCCI for participating in an unauthorized T20 competition in Abu Dhabi. This violation of BCCI regulations resulted in his removal from the India A squad. According to BCCI rules, registered players need permission before playing in overseas tournaments.

In the IPL, Singh played for Punjab Kings before becoming a key player for Kolkata Knight Riders. His stats include 55 runs in 2 ODIs, with an average of 27.50. KKR bought him for Rs 13.00 Cr in the 2025 auction. In his last IPL match on May 5, 2025, he scored 9 runs. Priya Saroj, a 25-year-old MP representing Machhlishahr, Uttar Pradesh, entered politics after her father, Tufani Saroj, and has experience in law.
