In the Asia Cup 2025 final, Sahibzada Farhan, the Pakistani opening batsman, made history by challenging Indian bowler Jasprit Bumrah. Farhan replicated his aggressive performance from the Super-4 match, ensuring a good start for Pakistan. He hit a six off Bumrah’s ball, adding a new milestone to his career.

India, after winning the toss, chose to bowl at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, leading to Sahibzada Farhan and Fakhar Zaman opening the innings for Pakistan. In the third over, Jasprit Bumrah bowled, and Sahibzada Farhan hit a powerful six on the third ball. This shot made the match more exciting and also gave Farhan the record for the most sixes against Bumrah in T20 International cricket.

This was his third six against Bumrah in T20 International cricket. He had hit two sixes against Bumrah in the Super-4 match. Sahibzada Farhan is the only batsman globally to hit three sixes against Bumrah in T20 Internationals. Other batsmen who have managed to hit two sixes against Bumrah include Elton Chigumbura from Zimbabwe, Lendl Simmons and Kieron Pollard from West Indies, Martin Guptill from New Zealand, and Cameron Green from Australia.
