The Delhi Premier League (DPL) 2025 witnessed a stunning display of bowling prowess by Simarjeet Singh, who had a difficult time in the IPL. His performance in the qualifier match was exceptional, as he decimated the East Delhi Riders’ batting lineup.

Simarjeet Singh, a fast bowler who represented Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL 2024, had a challenging season. He was still a top buy in the DPL 2025 auction and validated his value by consistently performing well throughout the season. His outstanding bowling in Qualifier 1 continued this trend, significantly impacting the match on August 29.

The rain-affected match at the Arun Jaitley Stadium was reduced to 15 overs per side. Central Delhi won the toss and chose to bowl. Simarjeet Singh quickly made an impact, dismissing both openers in the second over. He followed this up by dismissing East Delhi’s captain, Anuj Rawat. His next victim was Mayank Rawat, who had just hit a six. Simarjeet completed his five-wicket haul by dismissing Navdeep Saini. He took 5 wickets for 23 runs in 3 overs, playing a key role in restricting East Delhi to a score of just 88.
