The New Delhi Tigers secured a dominant win against the Outer Delhi Warriors in a thrilling encounter in the Delhi Premier League (DPL) at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. The Tigers won by 40 runs in the third match of the league. After opting to bat first, the Tigers faced an early setback with the loss of Dhruv Kaushik. Himmat Singh and Shivam Gupta then combined to create a match-defining partnership of over 150 runs. Shivam Gupta smashed 89 runs off 53 balls, with 8 boundaries and 4 sixes, while skipper Himmat Singh added 69 runs off 39 balls to stabilize the team’s innings. Keshav Dalal’s late surge, scoring 19 runs off 9 balls, helped the Tigers post a total of 222, the highest score so far in DPL season 2. Anshuman Hooda of the Outer Delhi Warriors delivered a standout performance, securing his first five-wicket haul of the season. In response, the Outer Delhi Warriors initiated their innings strongly with a 69-run partnership between Priyansh Arya (26) and Sanat Sangwan (48). However, the Tigers’ bowlers managed to restrict the Warriors, despite notable contributions from Shreshth Yadav (37) and Dhruv Singh (38).
