In the Delhi Premier League (DPL) 2025, Harshit Rana, Krish Yadav, and Yajas Sharma were penalized for their actions during a single match. This marked a significant event, as Yadav and Sharma faced double the punishment compared to Rana. The match, which served as the backdrop for these sanctions, occurred on August 11th and involved a contest between North Delhi Strikers and West Delhi Lions. Harshit Rana, Krish Yadav, and Yajas Sharma were found to have violated the code of conduct established by the DPL, resulting in penalties imposed by the league organizers. Harshit Rana and Yajas Sharma play for North Delhi Strikers, and Krish Yadav represents the West Delhi Lions. Yadav and Sharma faced sanctions under Article 2.3 (Level 1) of the DPL code of conduct, which addresses aggressive or obscene gestures. Both players acknowledged their transgressions to the match referee, which led to a deduction of 20% from their match fees. Harshit Rana, the captain of North Delhi Strikers, was penalized under Article 2.5 (Level 1) of the DPL code of conduct for using language deemed to have insulted a player. Rana also admitted his offense to the match referee, leading to a 10% fine on his match fee.
