    The 39th match of the Delhi Premier League (DPL) 2025 saw Aryaveer Sehwag, son of former Indian opener Virender Sehwag, deliver a notable batting performance. The team’s fast bowler then sealed the win with a hat-trick, taking five wickets and contributing to a heavy defeat for East Delhi Riders, who suffered their second loss of the season. Aryaveer Sehwag’s debut was marked with an impressive batting display. His innings, although short, included several eye-catching shots that delighted the spectators. Subsequently, the team’s fast bowler dominated East Delhi, restricting them to less than 100 runs.

    Maney Grewal: The Hat-trick Hero

    In the DPL 2025 match, Central Delhi Kings chose to bat first and scored 155 runs for 6 wickets in their 20 overs. East Delhi Riders, in their chase, struggled against the bowling of Delhi Kings, specifically Maney Grewal. Grewal claimed a hat-trick and five wickets in total, limiting East Delhi to just 93 runs. Delhi Kings thus celebrated a significant victory, winning by 62 runs.

    Maney Grewal’s impact started early in the third over. He dismissed Hardik Sharma (4 runs) caught by Jasveer Sehrawat on the fourth ball. He then followed with consecutive dismissals of Shivam Tripathi and Anuj Rawat, completing his hat-trick. Grewal’s outstanding performance included figures of 5 wickets for 23 runs in 4 overs. Ghavansh Khurana also added to the bowling effort, securing two wickets.

    East Delhi Fails to Reach Triple Digits

    East Delhi was eventually bowled out for 93 runs in the 16th over. Akhil Chaudhary scored the most runs for East Delhi with 26 runs off 22 balls. Ronak Waghela scored 19 runs before getting out, and opener Arpit Rana contributed 17 runs. No other batsman could reach double figures. With this win, Delhi Kings achieved their seventh victory of the season.

    Delhi Kings’ Seventh Win

    By beating East Delhi, Delhi Kings recorded their seventh win this season. Earlier in the match, Delhi Kings opener Aryaveer Sehwag, in his debut match, scored 22 runs off 16 balls, including 4 fours. Yugal Saini top-scored for Delhi Kings with 52 runs off 32 balls, with 3 fours and 2 sixes.

    Jasveer Sehrawat scored an unbeaten 37 runs off 35 balls with 1 four and 2 sixes. This propelled Delhi Kings to a total of 155 runs for 6 wickets in 20 overs. Ronak Waghela took the most wickets for East Delhi with two.
