The second season of the Delhi Premier League (DPL) saw a disappointing start for Old Delhi 6, as they faced an 82-run defeat against Outer Delhi Warriors in their opening match. Despite the loss, a young talent shone brightly. Young all-rounder Uddhav Mohan had an impressive debut, securing 5 wickets. He became the star of the match.

    Uddhav Mohan’s Brilliant Performance

Uddhav Mohan’s bowling performance in the Arun Jaitley Stadium match drew significant attention. He took 5 crucial wickets in just 4 overs, while only giving away 26 runs. His fast and accurate bowling style posed a challenge for Outer Delhi Warriors’ batsmen. Despite Uddhav’s effort, Old Delhi 6 lost the match. Uddhav’s bowling performance was pivotal in restricting Outer Delhi Warriors to 148 runs. Old Delhi 6 was then bowled out for 66 runs.

Uddhav Mohan’s name is now synonymous with Virat Kohli due to his connection with West Delhi Cricket Academy (WDCA), where the legendary cricketer also began his training. With Kohli’s coach Rajkumar Sharma guiding him, Uddhav Mohan’s debut is an inspiration for many aspiring cricketers.

Uddhav Mohan’s inclusion in the India Under-19 team further cements his promising future. He is preparing to showcase his abilities during the upcoming Australian tour. Uddhav was also highly sought after during the Delhi Premier League auction, ultimately being acquired by Old Delhi 6 for 6.60 lakh rupees.
