Digvesh Rathi and Priyansh Arya are examples of players who gained prominence through the DPL and later made their mark in the Indian Premier League. The current season has seen the addition of new teams, providing more spots for young cricketers. The teams participating are Purani Dilli 6, North Delhi Strikers, South Delhi Superstarz, East Delhi Riders, West Delhi Lions, Central Delhi Kings, New Delhi Tigers, and Outer Delhi Warriors. The presence of players like Nitish Rana, Harshit Rana, Lalit Yadav, Priyansh Arya, and Digvesh Rathi, fresh from their IPL season, adds to the league’s appeal. The DPL finals have drawn record crowds, with the previous year’s final attracting over 22,000 spectators, setting a new benchmark for state-level leagues.
