The Dehradun Warriors bounced back in the Uttarakhand Premier League (UPL) 2025 with a convincing victory over the Tehri Titans, winning by 9 wickets and fortifying their standing among the top teams. Following a series of fluctuating performances, the Warriors exhibited mastery across all aspects of the game, significantly improving their points and Net Run Rate (NRR).
This decisive win places the Dehradun Warriors in fourth place, with 6 points from 5 matches – three wins and two losses. Their NRR has improved to +0.321, potentially vital as they compete for playoff spots. The team’s form has been a mixed bag, yet this win, especially with such a significant margin, could mark a shift in momentum.
Facing the struggling Tehri Titans, the Dehradun bowlers initiated their dominance. Restricting the Titans to a low score, the Warriors quickly set about chasing the target. The top-order batsmen, with a solid opening partnership, ensured a swift and efficient outcome.
Captain Yuvraj Chaudhary was sharp in the field and his decision-making was spot-on throughout the match, and the Warriors now appear to be serious contenders for a semifinal position.
During the run chase, Sanskar Rawat demonstrated his class by scoring an unbeaten 116 runs off 52 balls, leading the Warriors to a comfortable 9-wicket victory.
The win is even more important considering the tight points table. Haridwar Spring Elmas and Nainital SG Tigers lead the pack with 8 points each, followed by Rishikesh Falcons with 6 points and a better NRR than Dehradun. However, Dehradun’s rise means the race to the playoffs is heating up fast.
With just a couple of league games left, Dehradun Warriors will be aiming to carry this momentum forward and cement their place in the knockouts. The road ahead is tough, but they’ve just sent a strong message to every team in the league.
